CLEVELAND, June 9 — The Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund is accepting applications for assistance from members in Oklahoma after severe storms, tornadoes and straight-line winds caused major damage to homes and property on May 22, 2011.

Assistance is available to members who live in the following Oklahoma counties: Canadian, Delaware, Grady, Kingfisher, Logan and McClain.

Available from the BLET website is a Teamster “Disaster Alert Notice” and “Request for Help” form. If you have experienced a loss due to extreme weather, please download and fill out the forms, or call the Teamsters Disaster Relief Fund office at (202) 624-8971.

The forms — including all requested documentation — are due by Monday, July 25, 2011.

HELP SPREAD THE WORD

To help increase awareness of this valuable benefit, members who live and work in the affected areas are asked to print and post these “Disaster Relief Notices” at their places of work.
