CHICAGO — A tentative agreement has been reached on the National Master Freight Agreement (NMFA) between Teamsters National Freight Industry Negotiating Committee and the TMI, a division of the Motor Freight Carriers Association (MFCA). There are four freight companies that comprise the MFCA — Roadway Express, Yellow Transportation, ABF Freight System and USF Holland. The tentative agreement must next be ratified by a mail vote of Teamster freight members.
Details of the tentative agreement will be announced at a press conference in Chicago on Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m., CST. Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa will be available for interviews.
