CLEVELAND, November 22 –- The following is a Thanksgiving message from BLET National President Don M. Hahs:
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all BLET members and their families a happy and joyous Thanksgiving.
As we approach the holiday season and the end of another year, let’s all be watchful so that we can share these times with family and friends, knowing that others will enjoy the same blessings.
We have been very fortunate this year — we have freedom, food, shelter, clothing — things we often take for granted. On Thanksgiving, I ask you to remember to be thankful for what you have worked so hard to achieve.
I also ask you to remember our troops who are overseas this holiday. As we sit down to bountiful meals surrounded by the warmth of our families, I cannot help but think of these brave young men and women who will not experience such comfort at Thanksgiving. All Americans should be thankful for the sacrifices our troops have made, and I ask you to keep them — and all veterans — in your thoughts and prayers.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank all BLET members, officers and staff for their kindness and support over the past year. I wish you and your families a happy and safe holiday season.
