Thomas Ray Stoltz, Sr., 57, Raymore, MO, born on December 25, 1946, ascended to be with the Lord on July 3, 2004. Visitation and Memorial service will be on Tuesday, July 6, 2004, from 6-9 p.m., with the Memorial service from 7-7:30 p.m. at Rock Brook Church, 1715 E. 173rd St., Belton, MO, 64012. The graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 7 at 11 a.m. at the Raymore Cemetery, at the corner of Aspen and Lucy Webb.

Tom was born in Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray J. and ElMarie Stoltz. He was the oldest of three children. Tom is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart Linda Stoltz (Lynch). They were married on August 15, 1967, and have been happily married for 36 years, 11 months. He was a loving father to his sons Thomas R. Stoltz, Jr., and wife Jennifer, John T. Stoltz and wife Kim, Todd M. Stoltz and wife Charity. He was a caring Grandfather to six grandsons and one granddaughter, Dallas, Jake, Samantha (Thomas), Cal, Colin, Chase (John), and Cole (Todd). He is also survived by his sister Peggy Smith and husband Harry, and brother Bob Stoltz. He also leaves behind numerous family members and friends.

Tom was a Vietnam veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Tom worked for the Kansas City Southern RR for 35 years until diagnosed with metastasized throat cancer in April 2003. He was the local chairman for KCS RR for 30 years, and involved in Operation Life Saver. He was a lifetime member of Belton VFW Post 8220. He was a member of the Kansas City Rugby Football Club. Tom has been involved in softball for 34 years, and most recently played in the over 55 division.

Tom attended Rock Brook Church in Belton, MO. He was a small group leader, led a small recovery group, and also sang in the church choir. Tom was a strong believer in Jesus Christ.
