TORONTO — The job of cleaning up coal cars that spilled into the Thompson River from a train derailment near Lytton last month will take a little longer than expected.
Canadian National Railway spokesman Jim Feeny said the regulator has requested the company hold off until the salmon run in the river is over in the fall.
The cleanup will be a joint project by CN and CPR.
