KENOSHA, Wisc. — Three boys have been charged with derailing a train that leaked fuel and caused more than 20-thousand dollars in damages.
The boys were charged yesterday in Kenosha with derailing the Union Pacific train Friday night.
They allegedly admitted they caused the derailment by pulling a switching lever on the tracks.
Kenosha Police Detective Lieutenant Kristine Fonk says the boys watched crews re-rail the train and clean up the 25-hundred gallon fuel spill it caused.
She did not release their ages. They’re charged as juveniles with criminal damage to railroad property and trespassing.
