PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Three Norfolk Southern workers were injured shortly before nine Friday morning in an accident at the rail yard in Portsmouth, Ohio.
According to firefighters the three were injured in some type of electrical accident. Rescue workers tell WSAZ.com that two of the workers were flown by medical helicopter to the hospital. A third worker was taken by ambulance. Rescue workers say the three were suffering from second and third degree burns.
A representative with Norfolk Southern says the railroad is investigating the accident. The names and conditions of the victims have not been released.
