HAMILTON, Ontario — Three crew members died Sunday when VIA Rail Train 92 derailed in Burlington on Sunday, February 26. Two locomotive engineers and an engineer trainee were killed in the derailment. Rex Beatty, president of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference, the union that represents Canada’s locomotive engineers, said it appeared the derailment occurred while the train was crossing tracks.
