WHITE EARTH, N.D. — The railroad tracks are open again near White Earth, at the site of a train derailment earlier this week.
Burlington Northeran Santa Fe spokesman Gus Melonas says last night’s winter storm delayed cleanup efforts. But he says the tracks reopened this morning.
Thirty-one rail cars on a 71-car train carrying automobiles went off the tracks Tuesday. No one was hurt.
Investigators are still looking into the cause. Amtrak also uses the track, and Melonas says it’s been busing people around the site.
