TOLEDO, Ohio — No one was hurt when 15 freight cars, including four tanks of flammable ethanol, derailed early yesterday at CSX’s Stanley Yard in Lake Township.
None of the tank cars leaked, CSX spokesman Kim Freely said.
A string of cars being pushed at 4 mph to a sorting area derailed into other cars on two parallel tracks.
Ms. Freely said the cause of the accident and damage estimates haven’t been determined yet, and the impact on railroad operations was minimal.
