CALGARY — Crews are still working to clean up a train wreck in the Crownest Pass, after 15 cars went off the rails Monday.

CP Rail officials say the freight train, with one tanker carrying phosphoric acid, was travelling east to Lethbridge from Cranbrook when it derailed. There weren’t any leaks in the remote area.

“At this point, the majority of the cars have been cleared away from the scene,” CPR spokesman Mark Seland said, adding they hope to have everything up and running again by Wednesday.

He said CP and the Transportation Safety Board are still investigating the cause of the accident.
