SHREVEPORT, La. — A train derailment early Tuesday morning in the 2200 block of Claiborne Street caused at least one railcar to leave the track, knocking down two utility poles, Shreveport police spokeswoman Kacee Hargrave said. The train was backing up to deliver cars when it left the track and went through a chain-link fence and onto the road. Part of the road was closed while the railcar was removed, according to a report from the Shreveport Times.
