TRENTON, N.J. — Train service has been restored on NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor line into New York.

Service had been suspended for about an hour Monday while Amtrak crews made emergency repairs on overhead wires near the Hamilton station.

NJ Transit spokesman Dan Stessel said service was restored from Trenton at a little after 3:30 p.m.

The evening commute was not expected to be disrupted, but Stessel said trains leaving New York could experience residual delays until about 4:30 p.m.
