CHICAGO — Railroad crews are working to clear several rail cars and engines that jumped the tracks near the 2600-block of South Broadway in suburban Posen.

Officials say a switching problem caused one train to sideswipe another in the Canadian National Railyard. Three diesel engines and two cars carrying gravel derailed.

One engineer was slightly hurt when he had to crawl out of a toppled engine.

Crews hope to have the equipment cleared and tracks repaired by Friday.
