CHANDLER, Texas — Two Union Pacific train crew members suffered non-life threatening injuries when their train collided squarely with a tree that had fallen across railroad tracks near Brownsboro, Texas, on March 19. A railroad spokeswoman said the train was traveling at about 35 miles per hour at the time of the accident and that the incident unfolded so quickly the crew had no time to react and apply the brakes. She said high winds are suspected for causing the tree to fall. Both crew members were treated and released, according to the Chandler & Brownsboro Statesman.
