BISMARCK, N.D. — Recent oil train derailments have people within the oil and transportation industries, safety experts, local, state and federal agencies, environmental and human health experts and the public asking questions; trying to come up with answers regarding the safety of getting Bakken crude oil out of North Dakota to refineries elsewhere in the United States. It’s an emotional issue. And it’s a complex one.
