CLEVELAND — The Union Jean & Apparel Co. is a small union company in a big business.
This determined group felt strongly enough about supporting the Union label Pledge and the Buy Union/Buy American campaign that they left their jobs and began the daunting task of starting a business in today’s economy.
One of the owners says about the challenge, “Customers are confident that the product and the savings is very good. The tough part is getting information to the union workers. When we ask for help, we ask for just one thing; the opportunity to let workers know that there really is a union made product available.”
The company is distributing union made garments and is currently developing manufacturing capabilities. “Our primary focus is to become the ‘source of choice’ for Union Made denim products. We don’t’ make every product that we provide, but we do make an effort to guarantee the authentic Union Made labels on all items.”
They specialize in jeans, denim jackets, denim shirts and denim accessory products. Another pleasant twist is they manufacture denim accessories and promotional items. They will look at customization of denim items to meet your wildest requests. In addition, they distribute union made non-denim apparel including jackets, t-shirts, sweaters, duck weight clothing and fire-rated clothing. They have rivet-less jeans and the rights to use the UAW logo.
They have become proficient with individual member’s orders and they are equally interested in local or international programs. They work with political action entities or plants that need to fulfill garment programs. And they have capabilities to develop u nion-made websites and shopping carts.
There are convenient ways to find out more about them on their website at www.unionjeanco.com or (877) 692-8009.
