OMAHA, Neb. — Railroads transported baseball teams for decades.
By 1876, baseball game schedules were based on train schedules, Union Pacific officials say.
As a tribute to its shared history with baseball, Union Pacific has displayed one of its most famous steam locomotives outside of the TD Ameritrade Park, where the college baseball World Series is taking place.
