SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Canadian National announced today that members of the Association of Railway Unions (ARU) at Algoma Central Railway Inc. (ACR) have ratified a new four-year labour agreement.

The agreement, covering 124 active employees at ACR, increases wages and benefits for union members and is retroactive to Feb. 1, 2001.

The ARU bargains on behalf of six railway unions at ACR, which CN acquired on Oct. 9, 2001, as part of its purchase of Wisconsin Central Transportation Corporation.
