OMAHA, Neb. — The board of directors of Union Pacific Corporation today elected Michael W. McConnell, the managing partner of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., to the Union Pacific Corporation board. This brings the number of directors to twelve.
McConnell, 60, has been the managing partner of Brown Brothers Harriman, one of the country’s oldest and largest private banking firms, since February 2002, and has served as the firm’s partner responsible for treasury and foreign exchange, finance and auditing, and information technology. McConnell joined Brown Brothers Harriman in 1968.
“Mike brings a strong background in finance and information technology that will be an asset to the Union Pacific board,” said Dick Davidson, chairman and chief executive officer of Union Pacific Corporation. “We welcome Mike to our board and look forward to working with him.”
