MARYSVILLE, Kan. — Union Pacific Railroad has immediate job openings in Marysville for qualified individuals interested in joining a training program for the railroad’s train service operation.
“Due to an anticipated high volume of retirements, as well as increased business demands, Union Pacific is actively seeking qualified applicants for immediate openings in train service,” said Bill Behrendt, assistant vice president of human resources at UP. “These positions provide both monetary and career growth opportunities which could lead to positions as train engineers and potentially management.”
To apply for these positions, applicants should visit the UP Web site at www.up.com and click on the “Jobs at UP” section. From there, they should click on “Union Pacific Railroad: View Positions.” Applicants can search the database for positions and locations of interest. Applications must be completed and submitted online for the job at the specific location of interest.
Those without access to computers should visit their local job service, public library or copy center. Applicants should be a minimum of age 18, and those who receive a job offer are required to successfully complete a medical exam, drug test and background investigation. Other qualifications for the jobs are listed on the Web site.
