CHICAGO — Railroad enthusiasts will once again be allowed to take pictures of trains from Metra platforms.

Union Pacific Railroad yesterday announced that it’s bowing to the train-lovers, who said the photography ban violated their First Amendment rights.

The railroad is lifting the ban but says it reserves the right to question photographers on Metra platforms.

UP spokesman Mark Davis says the ban was imposed a month ago for the safety and security of passengers.
