OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific Railroad will spend about $7 million to improve a rail line that runs from St. Paul, Minn., to Hudson, Wis. The nearly 24-mile project includes removing and installing rail and more than 40,000 ties as well as renewing the surfaces at 26 road crossings.
