POCATELLO, Idaho — Union Pacific Railroad officials have released the name of a conductor killed Friday night when a train car overturned in the Pocatello yard.

Archie Leroy Chandler, 54, of Pocatello, was killed by the train car after it tipped over when it struck a safety device designed to stop a train car by bumping it off the track.

Chandler had been with U.P. for 24 years.

Spokesman John Bromley said railroad officials continue to investigate the accident, which occurred about 11 p.m.
