OMAHA, Neb. — Union Pacific spent $1.49 million during the second three months of 2011 to lobby Congress on railroad regulations, pollution restrictions and highway shipping rules, according to the Associated Press. That’s up from the $1.28 million spent during the 2010 second quarter, and higher than the $1.23 million spent in the 2011 first quarter of this year.
