NEW YORK — Union Pacific Corp. surged the most since 2009 after hiring a protege of railroading legend Hunter Harrison to guide the company’s shift to a new efficiency strategy. Shares rose 9.4 percent to $151.67 at 10:25 a.m. in New York after advancing as much as 10 percent for the biggest intraday gain since April 2009.
