CARROLL, Iowa — Clean up is under way in Carroll, Iowa, after a train en route to Chicago derailed.
Ten cars of a Union Pacific freight train went off the tracks just after midnight today.
UP spokesman Mark Davis say nobody was hurt and no hazardous materials were involved.
Nine of the cars were carrying soda ash, an ingredient used to make glass. The tenth car was hauling potatoes.
Davis says the 93-car train was headed to Chicago from North Platte, Nebraska.
The cause of the derailment has not been determined.
