OMAHA — Union Pacific’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dick Davidson and Chief Financial Officer Jim Young today filed signed sworn statements with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) certifying the SEC filings made by the Company in 2002.

The documents that were certified include:

– 2001 Annual Report (Form 10-K)

– 2002 First Quarter Financial Report (Form 10-Q)

– 2002 Second Quarter Financial Report (Form 10-Q)

– First and Second Quarter Earnings Releases on April 25 and July 18, 2002

– Proxy Statement for the Annual Shareholders Meeting, filed with the SEC on March 7, 2002.
