NEW YORK — The Urbitran Group has been awarded a $2.7 million, two-year contract to provide consulting services for parking expansion, development, station access studies, new stations, facilities and long-term development for MTA Metro-North Railroad. With an optional renewal, the contract’s total value is $5 million. The work involves system-wide site assessment, parking improvement design, strategic facility development and the creation of design/build documents.
The Urbitran project team will be led by Larry Rosenbloom, Senior Vice President of The Urbitran Group. According to Rosenbloom, “We are very pleased to continue the excellent working relationship that we’ve enjoyed for the last five years with Metro-North, to help keep it one of the premier commuter rail systems in the world.”
