FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The state could put nearly half a million dollars into upgrading an industrial site so that trains carrying toxic chemicals can offload those chemicals more quickly.
The money should help resolve some issues in the Mayfield neighborhood of Fredericksburg, where residents have complained that CSX stores trains carrying toxic chemicals in its rail yard.
