OTTAWA — Last night, VIA Rail Canada and the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) negotiated a tentative agreement, for new 3-year collective agreements covering more than 2,400 station, on-train, maintenance and clerical employees.
CAW members employed by VIA will be asked to ratify the contract in a vote that will begin shortly. Details of the terms of the contract will be available after the vote.
