LONDON — Via Rail passengers traveling between Toronto and Chicago on weekdays will be required to board buses for a short stretch of the trip.

Anyone traveling from Chicago to Toronto will be bused from East Lansing, Mich., to Sarnia, where they will re-board the train.

Passengers traveling to Chicago from Toronto will be taken by bus from Sarnia to East Lansing, where they will re-board the train.

The buses will make all local stops.

Buses are being used because of work on the railway line between Port Huron, Mich., and East Lansing.

Weekend service won’t be affected.

Rail service between Sarnia and Toronto will operate as usual.
