WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Selectmen last night approved the CSX site plan for a proposed bulk material transfer station. The rail company can now move forward with its plan to expand in Westborough, opening the way for more commuter trains to run between Boston and Worcester.
The approval allows CSX to build a station within the footprint of a former automotive terminal, where trains will bring material to be transferred onto trucks and distributed to businesses throughout the region.
