Four patrol sergeants from the Westwood Police Department are being sent to a training program on rail security and safety, according to police.
Captain Frank Durante said the one-day class is being offered in June by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security and will cover safety issues, including responding to emergencies involving trains and what to watch for near transit crossings, tracks and stations.
