CANTON, Ohio — Railroad fans know the term “wandle” as a reference for the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway Co. based in Brewster. The railroad can trace its history to the mid 19th century as the Carroll County Railroad, but it wasn’t officially established until 1871.
