While tax credits remain uncertain, short line railroads are getting more gas, coal traffic

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Homer City Generating Station was built on top of a coal mine. For more than two decades, the 2,000-megawatt facility in Indiana County burned coal that was trucked in from the mine portals that surrounded it.
