WILMINGTON, Del. — The Wilmington train station will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. this Saturday, Amtrak officials announced today.
The closing is to accommodate President-elect Barack Obama’s rail trip to the nation’s capital.
Obama’s trip begins in Philadelphia, and there is a stop in Wilmington to pick up Vice President-elect Joe Biden and his family.
They will make a stop in Baltimore along the way to Washington.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee has not released information regarding the trip or any public accommodations at the stops.
