As of 6:25 a.m., Metra Electric South Chicago train No. 305 was scheduled to depart Millennium Station at 6:28 a.m. but was canceled. The same is true for South Chicago train No. 402, which was scheduled to depart the 93rd Street station at 7:20 a.m., according to Metra’s Web Site.
All inbound and outbound trains on all branches of the Metra Electric District may be operating 15 to 45 minutes behind schedule because of weather conditions.
Metra Electric District train No. 100 was stopped near Matteson because of frozen wires, Metra said. The train was scheduled to arrive at Chicago’s Millennium station at 5:32 a.m. A timetable when the train would start moving again was not available.
Metra Electric District Commuters between Flossmoor and Chicago will be accommodated by an extra inbound train that will originate in Flossmoor, Metra said.
