SPRINGFIELD — People passing through Union Station earlier this week had plans to travel, whether on a PVTA bus across town or a series of Amtrak trains across the country to Washington state. But few had ever heard of, and fewer had plans to ride, the new Ctrail service from Springfield to New Haven via Hartford and other Connecticut River valley towns.
