DENVER, Colo. — The 56-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a Union Pacific historic steam train returning from Cheyenne Frontier Days has been identified. Kelly Michelle Yarish, of Brighton, died from multiple blunt force injuries after being hit by the train on Saturday evening at 124th Avenue and U.S. Highway 85, according to a news release from the Adams and Broomfield Counties coroner. Investigators said the train struck Yarish while she was taking pictures of the locomotive and got too close to the tracks, according to Denver7.
