Philadelphia — An unidentified woman was killed Thursday afternoon when she was run over by a SEPTA bus, authorities said.
The accident occurred about 5:35 p.m. when the woman was struck by the Route 33 bus traveling north on 22d Street at Lehigh Avenue, police said. She may have been running to catch the bus as it pulled away and was run over by the passenger-side front tire of the bus.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. There were about 20 passengers on the bus.
