The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) has launched a $430 million program to upgrade stations, track and other critical equipment on the 116-year-old Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corp. (PATH) rail system. The two-year program calls for the repair or replacement of infrastructure throughout the system, including rail cars, bridges, tracks and track switches, PANYNJ officials said in a press release.
