FORREST COUNTY, Miss. — Forrest County authorities responded to a train derailment in the county early Monday evening.
Officials said the Kansas City Southern Railroad had a derailment of possibly two chlorine cars just south of Hattiesburg, between Maxie and Brooklyn.
No leaks or injuries were reported, and only minor damage. A reporter said the cars did not overturn, nor did they detach from the rest of the train.
Authorities were still on the scene late Monday night.
